Being an employee of the Secondary Education Department of Schools, I faced many challenges in my tenure, which exposed my strengths in tackling these challenges bravely. One of the most challenging situations the world faced in recent years was the sudden outbreak of COVID -19 at the end of 2019 in Wuhan China, which later on spread to the rest of the world, including Pakistan. Resultantly, pandemic outbreaks affected the social fabric of the world in numerous means; especially the education and health sector faced grave challenges. The country faced the pandemic with heavy hearts but fought it with glorious results with minimum losses of human lives.

To address this problem, we took the initiative to organize a digitization of school infrastructure development program, which involved identifying the schools in the most far backward areas of the district with less digital equipment for the students and teachers.

To implement the program successfully, we designed a project with a delegated team comprising of IT experts and teachers along with administrative officers of the said department at district level.

The outcome of the project was very enormous with positive results. We were able to provide internet facilities, IT equipment and special IT trainings to the faculty members and parents for digital awareness. As a result, during the extreme lockdown, we became successful to provide education to students and ensured their learning through digitalization of education. Many schools was forced to shut down during last pandemic but when we initiated this E-learning project through digitization means, we successfully saved the future of many students by ensuring possible facilities of learning at their door steps, by providing internet facilities with IT infrastructure to the teachers at various schools of XYZ Districts. The project was widely recognized by local communities, and I was applauded for my leadership and problem-solving skills.

This experience demonstrated my problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and commitment to public service. By taking initiative and organizing a school IT infrastructure development program. I was proud to have played a key role in making a difference by enhancing online E learning during pandemic.
